Stoke Gifford Parish Council
Safer & Stonger Community Group
Stoke Gifford Parish Council
Date | Sep 6, 2008 - 5:16:13 PM

The Parish has an active and progressive Safer / Stronger Group, which has been running for some years.

Our Group is very well supported by a number of different Agencies and they, as we in the Group, are all keen to make our local area safer and stronger, so we can all fully enjoy our excellent, local environment.

Our area covers the whole Parish of Stoke Gifford, including Little Stoke and Harry Stoke; the University of the West of England and, to name only a few, the businesses of Rolls Royce, Axa, MOD; the Railway Stations at Parkway and Patchway; plus a College, Schools, Churches and Licensed Premises. The area is then connected by a complex road system, which is generally busy and main roads that are 'over-loaded' and, finally, we all live in 'houses'.

We meet five times a year, in the same location, the Parish Council's Community Hall, at the end of the car park, next to the large playing field, off Little Stoke Lane, Little Stoke.
To everyone in the Parish, you are all welcome to attend our meetings and we encourage you to make your points about the Parish area's safety, any problem that concern you and we want you to make recommendations for any improvements.

Please attend our next meeting, if only to listen, we meet at:

7 p.m., on Wednesday, February 10th 2010 in the main room at Little Stoke Community Hall.

and then 2pm on Wednesday April 21st, 2010

Our major supporters include:

Avon & Somerset Police
Safer & Stronger South Gloucestershire (to whom we are affiliated)
The Primary Care Trust
Avon Fire & Rescue Service

We also receive support and attendance from:

The Railway Police
Great Western Railway
The Youth Organisation
South Gloucestershire Street Care
South Gloucestershire Highways Department
Stoke Gifford Parish Council
The Neighbour Watch Committees
