> The following 'Friends of Park' meetings are as follows:

>at Little Stoke Community Hall

Forty Acres Thurs 24th July, 7pm

at this meeting we learned that few understand the description 40 acres.  It emanated from the S Glos maintenance programme.  So one task for the embryo Friends Group could be to come up with a 'local' name.  All those in attendance were keen for the 'park' to maintain its 'wildlife nature', and it was agreed that an Ecological Survey should be commissioned.  Is there a local expert?

As a ‘Friend’ of one of the local parks you have the option of:

Being consulted on park refurbishments
Becoming involved in planned workdays
Increasing natural habitats
Become a park champion
Helping with community events
Most importantly represent the community in developing the park

Our aim is to gain full representation of all age groups and different types
of user groups, so no matter who you are, if you are interested in parks
come along and become involved! Your level of involvement is entirely up to
you. Come to the meeting if you can and see how much you want to become
involved with!
