The Wingfield School of Ballet and Dance has been teaching dance in Bristol and South Gloucestershire for over 30 years. It was set up in 1979 and continues to be run by founder and principal, Pamela Wingfield (RAD T.Cert).
We offer classes in ballet following the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus for children aged 3 years old and upwards. Classes in tap, modern and jazz follow the Imperial Society for Teachers of Dance (ISTD) syllabus for children from the age of 5 years old.
At the Wingfield School, children are taught safely and professionally by experienced and caring teachers. Pupils are trained to take graded examinations with the RAD and ISTD and gain formal achievements and certificates. Pupils are also given the opportunity to perform regularly in festivals and competitions. We also put on a spectacular ‘Showcase’ every 2 years in which children perform on stage in a full-scale production for large audiences. Our shows are enjoyed by all and create magical memories for pupils that last a lifetime.
