MUGA

The Parish Council are currently considering options for the multi-use games area situated at Little Stoke Park.  Quotations are currently being sought for the potential resurfacing of the existing area.  A meeting is currently being arranged to include local sports teams and schools to discuss the best forward with the MUGA.

Planning and Transportation

New Path for 40 Acres

Works are nearing completion to improve the pathway in 40 Acres to accomodate both pedestrians and cyclists.  The pathway will have new solar lighting which is being introduced into South Gloucestershire for the first time.

Little Stoke Youth Centre Control Handed Over to Parish Council

The Parish Council have received notification from South Gloucestershire Council to take over the running of the Little Stoke Youth Centre following a recent successful business plan submission.

The Parish Council will now be working closely with the South Gloucestershire Council regarding lease preparations and also liasing with local young people in order to take the Youth Club forward.

UWE Masterplan Update

The University of the West of England (UWE) purchased 28 hectares of land adjacent to the existing Frenchay Campus in 2008 and set about a detailed masterplanning process.

Widespread public consultation was carried out with key stakeholders, local residents and businesses in 2009, as well as ongoing detailed discussions with South Gloucestershire Council.  This work resulted in endorsement of the UWE New Campus Concept Statement by the Council in December 2011.
