South Gloucestershire Council - 7th July 2020
Please read the following Covid-19 update from South Gloucestershire Council.
We are now starting to see some of the government’s recent changes to the lockdown restrictions come into action. Over the weekend, pubs, bars and restaurants started to reopen with social distancing measures in place and from yesterday, some of the rules eased for those who have had to ‘shield’ during the Covid-19 outbreak – see details below.
With more people returning to our high streets and facilities such as public toilets and play areas reopening, our teams continue to work alongside local businesses and organisations to introduce safe social distancing measures. You can read about these changes below.
Staying safe and saving lives by keeping to social distancing rules is now more important than ever to help protect the most vulnerable and avoid increased infection rates. As we start to emerge from the lockdown, we're asking everyone to continue to adhere to the government advice. By working together, we can safely get the region back on its feet again.
Thank you for all your hard work.
