Notice of Temporary Footpath Closure
South Gloucestershire Council - 1st April 2021
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH LSG/1/10, LITTLE STOKE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2021
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to foot passengers that length of public footpath LSG/1/10 which extends from a point 171 metres south east of its junction with Redfield Road in a generally southerly and then generally easterly direction for a distance of 220 metres including that length carried by the bridge over the railway.
This order is required for the following reason: because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon works to improve and renew drainage ditch and railway bridge culvert. The order will be operative from 4 May 2021 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of nine weeks duration.
Public Footpath LSG/1/10 (part unaffected), Redfield Road, A38 Gloucester Road, Station Road, Clay Lane, Clay Lane footpath and cycle lane and vice versa
