Full Time Groundsperson

37 hours per week on a 7-day rota system.
Salary - £23,150 - £24,955 dependant on experience
Duties would include:
Undertake necessary grounds maintenance and clearance works for all sites under the management of the Parish Council.
To include sports pitch preparations, grass cutting, strimming and play area inspections within the Parish Council boundary.
The post holder will need to have good communication skills whilst working as part of a team and always adhere to Council policies while representing Stoke Gifford Parish Council.
The post holder will have a valid driving licence as it is a requirement to operate machinery and drive vehicles.

Full Time Head Groundsperson

37 hours per week on a 7-day rota system.
Duties would include:
Maintaining all the grounds under the responsibility of the Parish Council and supervise the day to day running of such works. To ensure that daily tasks are allocated appropriately to the grounds staff whilst monitoring the team.
Lead and manage the Grounds Staff by participating in recruitment and promoting staff development and training as necessary and ensuring targets, quality standards and health and safety requirements are met.
Ensure all works carried out are in line with the Approved Maintenance Schedule and that weekly work sheets are completed. The Maintenance Schedule is to be updated on an annual basis.
Undertake and oversee works which require the use of gangs, mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, tractors and attachments, and any other equipment or machinery used by the Parish Council.
Ensure that equipment including street furniture owned by the Council are maintained and report any safety concerns identified in their daily schedule.
The post holder will have a valid driving licence as it is a requirement to operate machinery and drive vehicles.

Full Time Deputy Head Groundsperson

37 hours per week on a 7-day rota system.
Duties would include:
Under the day-to-day management of the Head Groundsperson and responsible to the Parish Clerk, the post holder will undertake the necessary grounds maintenance and clearance works for all sites under the management of the Parish Council.
To include low level cutting and clearance, within the Council's internal landscapes which will require the use of gangs, mowers, strimmer's, hedge cutters and tractors, and any other equipment or machinery held by the Parish Council.
Responsible for reporting any safety issues identified during their daily schedule on grounds under the responsibility of the Parish Council to ensure safety is maintained across the various sites and comply with all health and safety regulations.
The post holder will have a valid driving licence as it is a requirement to operate machinery and drive vehicles.
