Vacancy for a Parish Councillor
A casual vacancy has occurred for the office of Parish Councillor in the University Ward of STOKE GIFFORD PARISH COUNCIL and will now be filled by Co-option.
Candidates wishing to apply for this position, should put their expressions of interest, in writing, stating reasons as to why they wish to be considered for this vacancy, along with any relevant experience. Expressions of interest should be forwarded to the Parish Clerk either by post or email no later than Friday, 27th November 2020.
Interviews will take place via Zoom platform in December 2020.
Council will then receive recommendations at the next Full Council meeting on Tuesday, 8th December 2020, whereby the vacancy will be filled.

Vacancy for a Buildings Maintenance & Cleansing Operative
Stoke Gifford Parish Council is seeking a part-time Buildings Maintenance & Cleansing Operative.
Duties to include:
- Monitoring and securing the buildings and grounds
- Carrying out maintenance duties in community buildings
- Maintain records and perform all necessary checks
- Clean and prepare room layouts for hire
- Grounds upkeep
- Site maintenance and key holding
- Liaise with internal and external contractors
The post holder will need to have good communication skills, be able to work as part of a team adhering to Council policies at all times while representing Stoke Gifford Parish Council.
You may be required to work at different sites.
30 hours per week on a 7-day rota system.
Salary - £10.83 hourly rate
