Temporary Road Closures: Grange Avenue and Collins Avenue, Little Stoke

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to:-

a) close, temporarily, to vehicles the length of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice.

b) suspend, temporarily, when signs are covered, the County Council of Avon (Stoke Lane and Shellmor Avenue Area, District of Northavon) (Weight Restriction) Order 1978 in so far as it relates to the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice to facilitate the works.

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon concrete rehabilitation works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 26 June 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The measures however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 10 days duration at each location.

Alternative route: Rossall Avenue, Little Stoke Lane, Kingsway and vice versa

SCHEDULE 1

1. Grange Avenue - that length which extends from its junction with Rossall Avenue to its junction with Kingsway

2. Collins Avenue - that length which extends from its junction with Rossall Avenue to its junction with Kingsway

SCHEDULE 2

1. Little Stoke Lane – that length which extends from its junction with Kingsway to its junction with Rossall Avenue

2. Kingsway – that length which extends from its junction with Grange Road to its junction with Little Stoke Lane
