(Public Footpaths LSG/7/30 and LSG/7/40, Stoke Gifford) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers and Pedal Cycles) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to foot passengers and pedal cycles the lengths of Public Footpath specified in the Schedule to this notice.

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon bridge repair works. The order will be operative from 29 April 2024 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 months duration, between the hours of 7pm and 7am.

Schedule:

Footpath LSG/7/30 - that length with extends from a point in line with property boundary of No. 349 Bakers Ground in an easterly direction to its junction with public footpath LSG/7/40

Footpath LSG/7/40 - that length with extends from its junction with public footpath LSG/7/30 in an easterly direction including the entire length of Mulgrove Cycleway Bridge and interlinking ramp and steps.

Alternative route: Footpath Bakers Ground by 349 to footbridge Bradley Stoke Way (parts unaffected), Trevelyan Walk footway, Great Stoke Way North footway (heading south), Great Stoke Way North footway (heading north), Winterbourne Road footway and vice versa
