Where: The Community Hall, Little Stoke, BS34 6HR

Could you offer love, stability and a safe home to a child in care? Join South Gloucestershire Council for an inspiring evening about fostering.

Hear from Becky, an experienced foster carer who’s supported children and young people for years including Daisy, who’s been part of her family for four years.

“I knew I had a safe, loving home to offer—and thought, why not?” Becky shares.

“Fostering is about being there for everyday moments homework, milestones, and comfort when it’s needed most.”

Becky has cared for children of all ages, including brother and sisters and those with additional needs. She values the flexibility fostering offers and the strong support network available including training, a 24/7 helpline, and a team that truly understands.

“You’re never alone. You’re part of a community.”

We’re committed to keeping children local close to their schools, friends and community. Our foster carers receive financial support, and many, like Becky, successfully balance fostering with work.

“I work full-time, and my employer has been really supportive. It’s possible to do both.”

Whether you’re curious, ready to take the next step, or just want to learn more this event is for you.

“You don’t need to be perfect - just patient, empathetic and willing to learn.”
