South Gloucestershire Food Partnership - 22nd May 2025

We are delighted to share the Food Across South Gloucestershire Report 2025, which is the report of the new South Gloucestershire Food Partnership.

The report brings together information from the residents and organisational surveys that were part of this work as well as local data ranging from information on where people buy food locally, what their concerns are and where the gaps are and what are some of the opportunities to strengthen the local food system.

We would also like to present the South Gloucestershire Food System Google Searchable Map which will help to promote and identify where our food businesses and organisations are based in South Gloucestershire:

South Gloucestershire Food System Map – Google My Maps

NB: This map is updatable so if you know of any food organisation that isn’t currently represented just let me know and we will add them to the map.

You can Zoom in to look at different areas on the map and switch on and off different categories (e.g. food shops, food growing spaces, cafes and restaurants etc…)

  • This report is the first step to understanding our current food system, identifying key gaps and opportunities in our local food system and from the report, the partnership has identified priorities and will be building an initial action plan.
  • Using information on opportunities to strengthen the food system gathered from the first partnership event in December 24 with information gathered from partnership members who attended our most recent partnership meeting last week 14th May, we are putting together this initial plan for the first few years.
  • We have over 70 people registered for the partnership representing over 25 organisations please find above a photo from last week’s event.
