River Clean in 40 Acres

Volunteers joined Bristol Avon Rivers Trust for a day of river litter picking in Stoke Brook on Saturday.
Chair of the Recreation & Leisure Committee, Councillor Penny Richardson said:
"Thank you to all our River Clean Volunteers!
"A huge thank you to everyone who came out to help with the Stoke Brook River Clean recently.
"Thanks to the brilliant turn out we removed a huge amount of rubbish from our local brook in 40 Acres – bottles, cans, bricks, cutlery, pavement slabs, builder’s bricks, bike frames, boulders and many more.
"Thank you to the lovely staff from BART (Bristol Avon Rivers Trust) Rosie and Paige, for helping with the event and supplying all the equipment and waders.
"We are doing another River Clean next year so we hope to you all back again then!"
