Meade Park & Play Areas Fully Reopened

We are pleased to inform residents that Meade Park is back under Parish Council control and fully open for use.
Following an eviction notice set for Tuesday morning, the Travellers vacated the site on Monday evening. Parish Council staff were on site immediately to secure and lock the gates.
A Huge Community Thank You!
Early this morning, a fantastic team of community volunteers, Parish Councillors, and staff came together for a massive clean-up operation. By 10:00 AM, the park was cleared, litter-picked, and restored to an excellent condition. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who stepped up to help.
Safety First
This marks the third illegal encampment in our parish over the last month. We know how frustrating this has been. To ensure your peace of mind as the school holidays come to an end, we have completed in-depth safety inspections of all play equipment. The facilities are safe and ready for families to enjoy.
Next Steps
Our teams are now working quickly to complete minor ground repairs and dispose of the large volume of waste collected across all three recent sites.
