SGC Streetcare - 18th December 2023

SGC Streetcare will be undertaking minor highway works on Gipsy Patch Lane and Hatchet Road from 3rd January for approximately two weeks.

The attached works have been delayed and will now commence on 22 Jan 2024 (weather dependent)

These snagging works are being undertaken as part of the Cribbs Patchway metrobus extension project and include the following:

  • Removal of a redundant footpath across the northern verge near to 35 Gipsy Patch Lane.
  • Re-profiling the path next to the toucan crossing near to 30 Gipsy Patch Lane.
  • Installation of tactile paving in several locations.
  • Installation of coloured surface treatments and direction arrows in several locations to highlight pedestrian/cyclist routes.
  • Installation of high friction surfacing and alterations to junction markings.
  • Changes to damaged or out of date traffic signs.

Network Rail’s contractors will also be undertaking landscaping works on the embankments of the Gipsy Patch Lane railway bridge for approximately three weeks from Monday 8th January.

The works are generally minor in nature and we do not anticipate any significant disruption. Some of the works are weather dependent, so the dates could be subject to change.
